In fact, the application of phosphogypsum is quite extensive. Li Guozhang said that phosphogypsum can be used as raw materials for chemical production, building materials, soil conditioners, roadbed materials and high-end fields, but there are still many problems in its utilization.

To this end, Li Guozhang suggested that the mining of natural gypsum for building materials should be prohibited, the market acceptance of phosphogypsum should be vigorously cultivated, the decomposition of phosphogypsum should be encouraged to achieve sulfur recycling and the large-scale utilization or replacement of calcium in the cement industry, and tax and fiscal policies should be improved. Through these measures, we will speed up the comprehensive utilization of phosphogypsum and protect the ecological environment of the Yangtze River.
